Ready when you are.
On iPhone and iPad, use your device's volume buttons.
After pressing play, supported phones offer play and pause on the lock screen. If an in-app browser interrupts playback, open this page in Safari or Chrome.
Why this distance? In my approach, the music carries an energetic intention beyond the sound itself. Keeping your pet close to the playing device is part of how I use this meditation. — Jason
Let them stay in their chosen sheltered spot and set up playback nearby when you can do so safely. Offer calm company without pulling them out.
Can I leave it on overnight?
Yes. Leave Repeat on for continuous playback and set up the audio in your pet's usual sleeping area. You can turn Repeat off whenever you prefer.
How do I use it on a car ride?
Set up playback before you start driving, with your pet safely secured for the journey.
When to use it
Big feelings. Everyday challenges.
Use the audio during these moments, or whenever your pet is frightened, frantic, or showing other unwanted behaviours. Make listening part of the reassurance you offer, alongside patient, consistent care.

I've used this audio for years as part of my own work around trauma and emotional regulation. Now I'm exploring whether it may also help dogs settle during stressful moments.
01
Space to settle
A moment of reassurance, with the intention of supporting calm and emotional ease.
02
A familiar routine
A simple listening ritual alongside a comfortable bed, a safe space, and reassuring company.
03
Time to reconnect
Unhurried moments together, where your dog can choose closeness or a little space of their own.
Their story. Their pace.
Trust takes time. Give it room.
Feeling safe is a process. Change may take days, weeks, or months, sometimes longer. Each dog brings their own experiences and their own pace.
Make listening part of a regular routine and notice how your pet responds over time. There is no fixed timetable or guaranteed result.
Experiences vary from dog to dog. Your honest observations help us learn together.
A note from Jason
How this began.
Jason Frovich Creator of My Pet Meditation
For the past six years, I've used this audio in working through my own trauma and shared it with people around me.
While dog-sitting, I became concerned about some of the behaviour I was seeing and wanted to support the dog's wellbeing. I started experimenting with this same audio with the dog. That small, personal experiment is how My Pet Meditation began.
With Mia, I've noticed that she is much calmer during storms and fireworks, and around people and other dogs. I've shared her experience below.
I'm sharing the audio free with my community and inviting honest experiences as we learn together.

Every dog has a story.
What did you notice—or not notice? Changes, no change, and reasons you stopped are all welcome.

What was happening when you played it? How did your dog respond? It's just as useful to hear that nothing changed.
